Where Do I Go for My Bankruptcy Hearing?

August 19, 2014

The bankruptcy hearings, also referred to as 341 Hearings or Meeting of Creditors, are held at the federal building in either Omaha, Lincoln or Council Bluffs in a room simply titled, “Trustee’s Meeting Room.”

The exact locations are listed below. Click on the hyperlinked text for your hearing location to be directed to Google Maps.

Omaha Hearings
Roman L. Hruska Federal Courthouse
111 South 18th Plaza
Omaha, NE 68102

Lincoln Hearings
Robert V. Denney Federal Courthouse
100 Centennial Mall North
Lincoln, NE 68508

Iowa Hearings
Federal Building
US Post Office
6th & Broadway
Council Bluffs, IA 51502

Remember to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although there are parking garages available depending on where your hearing is located, you will more than likely find parking on the street. Allow yourself enough time to park and make sure you bring change with you. A lot of meters accept cards now, but not all of them.

Additionally, this is not an appropriate place to bring children. Check out our blog titled “Your Bankruptcy Hearing” to find out more details about your hearing, in case you need to make arrangements for childcare you will know what to expect.

As you can see, the bankrutpcy hearings are always held in a federal building, so without proper identification, you will not even be allowed in the building. You will definitely want to read the following blogs related to your bankruptcy hearing as well, in order to be prepared.
