Debtor Financial Management Course: How Do I Get It Done

August 24, 2014

  1. Find a Provider

There are many providers that offer the Debtor Financial Management or post-filing bankruptcy course online. We recommend Sage Personal Finance. We have worked with many different agencies and have found them to be the most reliable.

When it comes to such an important part of your bankruptcy, you need a reliable provider. It is in your best interests to make sure the course is completed on time.

Sage Personal Finance is online at www.sagepf.com. You can also contact them by phone at 800-516-2759. They offer courses online and over the phone. Pay close attention and make sure you do not confuse the Debtor Financial Management Course wtih the Pre-Bankruptcy Credit Counseling Certificate.

  1. Enter Your Attorney Code (if applicable)

Our firm is currently registered with Sage Personal Finance. This means that if you complete your course through them, we will automatically receive a copy of your certificate of completion. You just have to enter our Attorney code. It is ACC73813.Only enter this code if you are indeed one of our clients.

  1. Enter Your Bankruptcy Case Number

Click here to learn where you can find your case number.

  1. Make Time

The course is mandated to be at least two hours long. So make sure that you are in a comfortable environment and able to focus on the learning material. This is an actual course and you will be tested on the information provided. Sage Personal Finance, will allow you to log out and log back in where you left off so you can complete it over the course of a few days. Pay attention to the terms of logging in and logging out. Sometimes they will only store your information for 30 days.

  1. Make Sure We Receive the Certificate

Once the course is completed you will be issued a certificate of completion. It looks like the certificate you received for the pre-bankruptcy credit counseling course. If you entered an Attorney Code, we will receive it directly from Sage. If you didn’t enter an attorney code, you should forward the certificate to your attorney.
